LAHORE (Dunya News) -- Talking to the media, Chaudary Muhammad Sarwar said that he does not believe in a democracy which does not hold local body elections while 400 Member of Parliaments (MPA) are usurp the right of 4000 councilors.

He said that by not conducting the local body elections, the government is blocking the path for upcoming middle class leadership.

Chaudary Sarwar said that if Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) came into power, they would hold local body election within a month and the budget would divided on divisional, district and tehsil basis.

He said that in Khyber Pakhtunkhawa, police and bureaucracy was apolitical and did not interfere unnecessarily in the matters of governance.

Explaining his resignation, Chaudary Sarwar elaborated that he would have given up his post earlier during PTI protests but did not do so because of national interest.

He said that if a judicial commission is formed then PTI will return to assembly.

He added that in PTI, the nation had found a third political force which made the other two parties uncomfortable. He said that PTI would not rest until it has bought change.
