PIA suspends flights to Dhaka till March 10

Bangladeshi intelligence officers raided house of PIA Station Manager Ali Abbas in Dhaka.

 LAHORE (Dunya News) – Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) decided to suspend all flight operations to Dhaka till March 10 in reaction to the discriminatory treatment of Bangladesh administration.

Foreign Office Spokesperson Tasnim Aslam on Thursday confirmed that Bangladeshi intelligence officers raided office and house of PIA Station Manager Ali Abbas in Dhaka.

She said that Pakistan has sought clarification from the High Commissioner of Bangladesh in this regard.

The raid was conducted on Ali Abbas’s house on suspicion of smuggling currency and gold. Meanwhile, the PIA has suspended all Dhaka-bound flights in protest against the incident.

Manager Ali Abbas, on the other hand, has returned along with his family and has rejected all such allegations.
