Shocked over JIT report on Baldia Town tragedy: Imran Khan
Political parties must rid themselves of their military wings, advises chairman PTI.
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan on Saturday said that the involvement of extortion mafia in the Baldia Town incident, as per the Joint Investigation Team (JIT) report, came as a shock to him.
Killing of 258 labourers by setting Balida factory ablaze was utterly inhuman, he added.

He urged that political parties must purge their military wings. In one of his recent tweets, Imran Khan said that the plight of the common does not concern the ruling class.

Earlier, JIT had revealed in its report that the Baldia Town Factory was set on fire for not paying extortion money. The report said that the accused were released on bail with the help of a former prime minister.
