The ministers neither come to the parliament nor attend meetings of standing committees, says Shah

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Opposition leader in the National Assembly Khurshid Shah on Monday has said that the petrol shortage reflects government’s inefficiency. He warned the government of demonstration of protest by Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) in case the government does not provide relief to the people.

According to a statement, Shah said that the Prime Minister (PM) had given his word that the performance of the ministers would improve but their performance is zero. He said that the ministers neither come to the parliament nor attend meetings of the standing committees. When ministers lack coordination among each other, how could their performance improve? He asked.

The opposition leader said that they raised their concern regarding the petrol shortage in the country but the government did not respond to it. He also said that the people were already not getting electricity and gas supply and now the government has produced another crisis for the public to bear.

He further said that the government also failed to reduce the prices of petrol in accordance with the international markets’ prices. Shah asked whether this conspiracy has also been done by Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) chief Dr Tahirul Qadri and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan.

Separately, PTI spokesperson Shireen mazari said that if this is a conspiracy then people from inside the government are responsible for this. She said that Federal Minister for Finance Ishaq Dar is responsible for the petrol crisis along with other authorities concerned..
