US Secretary of State will meet the political and military leadership of Pakistan on his visit

ISLAMABAD: (Dunya News) – United States (US) Secretary of State John Kerry will arrive on Monday in Islamabad on a two-day visit, Dunya News reported on Sunday. He is going to meet the political and military leadership of Pakistan during this visit. Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif will meet John Kerry on a dinner while the US Secretary of State will meet Advisor to Prime Minister on Foreign Affairs Sartaj Aziz to discuss Pakistan-US strategic relations at Foreign Office.

According to Foreign Office, a new phase of strategic dialogue between the US and Pakistan will start during this visit. Sources claim that Pakistan will raise the issue of targeting the safe hideouts of Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) in Afghanistan on this occasion. Pakistan will also raise the issue of payments due from Coalition Support Fund and Kerry Lugar Bill. Other mutual, regional and world affairs will also be discussed during the meeting.

Dunya News sources claim that the situation arising from the withdrawal of American troops from Afghanistan and improved and continued cooperation between US and Pakistan through strategic dialogue will also be taken up during this visit.
