Earthquake jolts Islamabad, surroundings
The intensity of the earthquake was recorded as 5 on the Richter scale.
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Severe earthquake jolted federal capital Islamabad and surrounding areas on Thursday, Dunya News reported.
According to the details, the earthquake was recorded in Islamabad, Peshawar, Shangla, Malakand, Lower Dir and Swat among other adjacent areas.
The earthquake was so severe that people came out of the houses while reciting religious verses. The intensity of the earthquake was recorded as 5 on the Richter scale.
According to the earthquake measuring center, the depth of the earthquake was some 100 kilometers down the earth and the epicenter was Hindu Kush area in Afghanistan.
