SAARC summit: PM Nawaz meets political leaders, agrees to mutual cooperation
Asian countries must relinquish conflicts; strengthen trade and cultural ties instead, PM advises.
KATHMANDU (Dunya News) – Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif met political leaders and prime ministers of Asian countries on Thursday to discuss matters of mutual cooperation and to promote trade and cultural ties.
On the occasion of 18th South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC) summit held in Kathmandu, PM Nawaz urged the leaders to make concrete efforts to ensure peace and prosperity in the region.
It is imperative for the Asian countries to relinquish their conflicts and strengthen trade and cultural relationships advised the PM proffering Pakistan government’s complete assistance to its neighbouring countries in this regard.
Adviser on Foreign Affairs, Sartaj Aziz while addressing a news conference in Kathmandu announced that Pakistan will host the 19th SAARC summit conference.
