KPK to launch 15 month polio eradication drive
UAE government has authorized aid worth $ 27 million for the anti-polio drive.
PESHAWAR (Dunya News) – Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK) government decided to launch a 15-month polio eradication drive across province with the assistance of United Arab Emirates (UAE).
The drive would be divided in three phases for which UAE government has authorized aid worth $ 27 million.
According to Provincial Minister of Health, 11 high risk districts of KPK would be given special attention.
49 polio cases have surfaced in KPK this year whereas poliovirus might spread in the wake of the migration from Khyber Agency.
