MQM chief also demanded to hold census under supervision of the army.

KARACHI (Dunya News) – Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) chief Altaf Hussain on Wednesday said that he doesn’t want to adopt the principle of opposition for the sake of opposition. He said they want to resolve the issue of Opposition Leader in National Assembly Khursheed Shah who, MQM says, uttered offensive slurs for ‘Muhajir’ community, Dunya News reported.

Addressing a press conference in Karachi via telephone from London, Altaf Hussain said that the army doesn’t need anyone’s permission to impose martial law. MQM chief also demanded to hold census under supervision of the army.

He said no one demands creation of separate provinces for no reason and that if anyone objects to creation of new administrative units, then create ‘Sindh 1’ and ‘Sindh 2’.

Altaf Hussain urged the law enforcement institutions to take steps to stop ‘injustice’ against MQM.

He said MQM is large enough to provide protection to Sindhis.
