Fazlur Rehman meets PM, suggests forming coalition govt in KP
Fazlur Rehman sought permission from PM to pass a no confidence motion in KP Assembly against CM KP.
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Maulana Fazlur Rehman suggested Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif to form a coalition government by passing a no-confidence move in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly. Nawaz Sharif responded saying that the current situation is not suitable to allow for another issue.
Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI) chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman sought permission from PM to pass a no confidence motion in KP assembly against the Chief Minister of KP. PM Nawaz Sharif responded that government had announced in 2013 to respect everybody’s mandate, adding that he would not go against his principles.
Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Tuesday met Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI)’s chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman in PM House in Islamabad.
During the meeting, both leaders discussed the ongoing political crisis in Pakistan and talked about the coalition matters in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Islamabad.
According to sources, Fazlur Rehman sought permission from PM to pass a no confidence motion in KP assembly against Pervez Khattak. He argued that JUI has a majority in KP Assembly but only the permission of Prime Minister is required to form a coalition government.
Talking about the furious assembly members of PTI he said that they are willing to form a coalition government with JUI.
Sources have revealed that Nawaz Sharif averted him saying that the current political situation is not suitable to raise another issue.
He further asserted that if a no confidence move was required then he would consult the coalition parties before taking any steps.
Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar, Governor KPK, Sardar Mehtab, Akram Durani and Khwaja Saad Rafique also attended the meeting.
