Army last hope for weak, oppressed: Altaf Hussain

LONDON (Dunya News) – Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) chief Altaf Hussain on Wednesday asked what MQM did wrong by calling the army for help, adding that he apologizes if any of his statements hurt anyone, Dunya News reported.

In a statement issued from London, MQM chief said that political and religious parties, serious authors and intellectuals should step ahead to resolve the issues through dialogue.

Altaf Hussain said that the army is the last hope for the weak and the oppressed. He said he respects the army by heart and asked what’s wrong in calling the army for help.

He said he is sorry if any of his statements hurt anyone’s sentiments.

Altaf Hussain had earlier written to the army chief asking fourteen questions.
