Sukkur: Strike in courts against kidnapping of lawyer's son

Lawyers have demanded immediate recovery of the kidnapped son of Hyderabad Bar Council's President.

SUKKUR (Dunya News)— Sindh Bar Council has called a strike on Wednesday in protest against the kidnapping of Hyderbad Bar Council’s president’s son. As a result, the courts remained closed in Sukkur as the lawyers boycotted the court proceedings. People awaiting case hearings faced severe difficulties.

In response to the appeal of Sindh Bar Council, the lawyers of Sukkur Bar Council boycotted the districts courts, High Court and the session courts. As the lawyers in Sindh observed a complete strike the people coming from other provinces for case hearings faced severe difficulties.

Heads of lawyers’ associations argued that the strike has been called to protest against the kidnapping of Hyderabad Bar Council’s president’s son yesterday.

They further said that the Hyderabad police have not taken any action against the kidnapping. Criticizing the Sindh government and police, they remarked that they have failed in providing protection to the lawyers and their families.

The lawyers have demanded immediate recovery of the kidnapped son of the president of Hyderabad Bar Council otherwise the strike and protests by lawyers would continue.
