Shah Mehmood pays electricity bills despite call for 'civil disobedience'

MULTAN (Dunya News) – Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) vice chairman Shah Mehmood Qureshi paid six electricity bills of his residence and Dera in Multan despite his party’s call for ‘civil disobedience’, Dunya News reported on Saturday.
According to the details, six bills of his residence and Dera in Multan were paid. The paid bills were in the amount of Rs. 96,680.
There are six electricity meters installed at his residence, two of which are registered in Qureshi’s own name whereas remaining four are registered in his relatives’ names.
Qureshi avoided the question by a reporter on the issue and simply responded by saying that he is not interested in answering ‘non-serious’ questions.
Earlier, while talking to the media after the hearing of case of registering an FIR against 11 people including Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, Qureshi said people chanted ‘go Nawaz go’ outside the General Assembly and that the government and the assembly will not complete their tenure.
“Karachi had welcomed Chairman PTI Imran Khan with open arms and we expect a massive reception in Lahore”, he said.
He said they are practicing their constitutional right of peaceful protests.
He further explained that they intend to expand the sit-ins all the way to Sindh passing through villages of Punjab and that they have started enhancing contacts in interior Sindh.
He stated people of Sindh have had enough of corruption too. “We therefore reject politics of corruption”, he added.
Shah Mehmood Qureshi said time will decide if Javed Hashmi is daghi or baghi.
