8 perish in Karachi killing spree

At least 8 people were killed in firing incidents in different parts of Karachi on Thursday.

KARACHI (Dunya News) – Target killing continues in Karachi as 8 more people were killed in acts of violence in the city during the past 24 hours.
 

According to details, some unidentified gunmen shot dead three people in Sarjani Town on Thursday night. The deceased were activists of a political party.
 

Earlier, unknown gunmen riding on a motorbike opened fire on a car near Bait-ul-Mukarram Mosque in Gulshan-e-Iqbal area, killing Professor Shakeel Auj, who was also the dean of faculty of Islamic Studies at the University of Karachi.
 

In separate incidents, a man was gunned down in Lyari while firing incident in Orangi Town area claimed life of a man named Riaz.
 

An activist of Sunni Tehrik, identified as Miraj Qadri, was killed when some unidentified gunmen opened fire at the Shafiq Motors while another man was killed in firing incident in New Karachi area.
