Islamabad police decides to register FIR for attacking parliament against Khan, Qadri

FIR includes acts of terrorism against the two accused.

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – In a meeting presided by Inspector General (IG) Khalid ‎Khattak, the Islamabad police decided to register a case including acts of terrorism against ‎Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan and Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) Tahirul Qadri ‎for attacking the parliament. ‎


According to sources, after the meeting and in consultation with the legal division of the police, ‎the First Information Report (FIR) was registered at the Secretariat police station, which ‎included sections of the Terrorism Act.‎


On the other hand, Khan refuted the ‘fake’ claims of the FIR by saying that the request for FIR ‎had been drafted in the Prime Minister’s (PM) house. The FIR accusations included the charges ‎of damage to property and interference with government, reportedly.‎


Khan gave a copy of the FIR to the media, which included the names of Dr Tahirul Qadri, ‎Khyber Pakthunkhwa Chief Minister Pervez Khattak, Shah Mehmood Qureshi, Raja Nasir Abbas ‎and other leaders.
