Islamabad police decides to register FIR for attacking parliament against Khan, Qadri
FIR includes acts of terrorism against the two accused.
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – In a meeting presided by Inspector General (IG) Khalid Khattak, the Islamabad police decided to register a case including acts of terrorism against Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan and Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) Tahirul Qadri for attacking the parliament.
According to sources, after the meeting and in consultation with the legal division of the police, the First Information Report (FIR) was registered at the Secretariat police station, which included sections of the Terrorism Act.
On the other hand, Khan refuted the ‘fake’ claims of the FIR by saying that the request for FIR had been drafted in the Prime Minister’s (PM) house. The FIR accusations included the charges of damage to property and interference with government, reportedly.
Khan gave a copy of the FIR to the media, which included the names of Dr Tahirul Qadri, Khyber Pakthunkhwa Chief Minister Pervez Khattak, Shah Mehmood Qureshi, Raja Nasir Abbas and other leaders.
