It's illegal for government institutions to exercise civil disobedience, says Inayatullah Khan.

PESHAWAR (Dunya News) – Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Local Government and Rural Development Inayatullah Khan said on Tuesday that the civil disobedience movement called by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf wont be exercised by the provincial government. He said that failure of the government institutions to pay tax and electricity bill is tantamount to treason.

Speaking to media while addressing Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan (JI)’s celebration of its 74th Foundation Day today on Tuesday, Inayatullah Khan said that civil disobedience movement, though can be exercised at individual level would be considered illegal if practiced by government institutions. The government institutions can’t function against the state, said Inayatullah Khan.

Jamaat e Islami has not participated in the PTI’s protest sit-in but we do support their constitutional demands, said Inayatullah Khan.

He further said that under the 18th Amendment, the concept of Forward-bloc becomes void as it does not allow change of loyalty of members of the assembly. Hence, if any assembly member demands no confidence movement, he would be expelled, said Inayatullah Khan, speaking to the media in Peshawar.
