PAT Chief says government is doing false propaganda that he refused to talk
ISLAMABAD: (Dunya News) – Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) Chief Dr. Tahirul Qadri has said that he never refused to talk to anyone. He said that the government was doing false propaganda against him that he had refused to talk. “I am ready to talk to anyone including government”, said PAT Chief.
While talking to media at D-Chowk Islamabad, Tahirul Qadri said today (Wednesday) that the government ministers were lying about his refusal of talks with the government. He said that nobody came to him for a dialogue.
Dr. Qadri also said that Ijaz-ul-Haq and Haider Abbas Rizvi came to him for talks but nobody from the government had come. He also said that he did not refuse to talk to Haider Abbas Rizvi and Ijaz-ul-Haq.
PAT Chief said that the people sitting in the Parliament House couldn’t see our workers getting murdered by Police in Model Town. He said that FIR was not registered even after Session Court’s decision. He said that if children of Sharifs got murdered, they would never have talked of democracy or constitution.
Tahirul Qadri said that PAT believed in law and constitution. He said that if current government survived, there would never be any hope of law and order in Pakistan.
Moreover, Dr. Tahirul Qadri paid rich tributes to Pakistan Army. He said that he stood firm with the Army. He said that he had great respect for state institutions. Tahirul Qadri said that he believed the judiciary, constitution and parliament to be sacred. He said that he didn’t take law into his hands.
PAT Chief said that he never refused to talk to anyone.
It is pertinent to mention here that a delegation of opposition members had tried to meet Dr. Qadri on the night between Monday and Tuesday but was unable to meet him because Dr. Qadri had already left for making his speech. The delegation included Haider Abbas Rizvi of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM), Ijazul Haq of Pakistan Muslim League (Z) and Aftab Ahmad Khan Sherpao of Qaumi Watan Party (QWP).
