Bannu: Militant killed, another arrested during security forces operation
The security forces were attacked while they were conducting search operation in Bannu.
BANNU (Web desk) – The security forces have killed one militant while arrested another in Bachki area of Bannu, Dunya News reported on Saturday.
The security forces were attacked while they were conducting search operation in Frontier Region in Jannikhel.
After an exchange of fire, the security forces gunned down one militant while arrested another.
The arrested, identified as Waliullah, was wanted by security forces in several cases of terrorism. The firing between the two sides continued for around 24 minutes, the sources told.
Last Thursday, a remote-controlled blast took place near the vehicle of the deputy subehdar of Khasadar forces on Railway Road in Bannu, injuring four civilians.
