Punjab government plans to purchase thermal security cameras to improve security.

LAHORE (Dunya News) – Punjab government is planning to purchase thermal security cameras to improve the existing security system in the country, Dunya News reported. Talks are already in process with Germany and China regarding the purchase of thermal security cameras.

The government has initially sought six thermal cameras from China and Germany on a trial basis. Depending on the trial results, the government will place a shipment order for the purchase of cameras. Sources have revealed that thermal security cameras operate better than the CCTV cameras. Moreover, thermal cameras can also be used for excellent recording results during the night. The high-priced cameras will initially only be installed in the Prime Minister House, house of Chief Ministers, airports, assembly halls and in the locality adjoining the cantonment area.
