IHC nullifies PM's decision to review bureaucrats' promotion
IHC declares Prime Minister's decision to review the promotion cases of bureaucrats null and void.
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Islamabad High Court (IHC) declared Prime Minister’s decision to review the promotion cases of bureaucrats null and void on Tuesday, Dunya News reported.
Justice Muhammad Anwar Khan Kasi passed the verdict in Islamabad High Court today. High Court stated that as per the recommendations of the Central Selection Board, the bureaucrats should be promoted but the senior bureaucrats approached the High Court against the review of recommendations by Central Selection Board.
Prime Minister had ordered to review promotion cases of 18 Administrative Services, 5 Police Service while 4 Foreign Service officials. The Central Selection Board had recommended promotion of 44 DMG, 11 police and 21 foreign service officials in February 2014.
