Karachi violence claims 8 lives

At least eight people were killed in acts of violence in different parts of Karachi on Thursday.

KARACHI (Dunya News) – Target killing continues in Karachi and eight people were killed in acts of violence in different parts of Karachi on Thursday.

According to details, three dead bodies were recovered from Chakiwara area of Lyari and its adjacent localities which were shifted to Civil Hospital.

Two of the dead were identified as Muhammad Khalil and Rehmat. Police and Rangers launched a joint search operation after the incident. All the entry and exit points were sealed before the start of the operation.

Earlier, a policeman who got injured in firing incident in Manghupir area succumbed to his wounds in hospital.

Some unknown motorcyclists opened firing on the car of MWM activist Asif Karbali near Empress Market killing him on the spot. The accused managed to flee from the scene.

The funeral prayer of Karbalai was offered at Numaesh Chorangi and a large number of party workers and leaders were present on this occasion.

On the other hand, a body has been recovered from Lasbela. According to the police, the victim who has not yet been identified bore multiple gunshot wounds. A man was shot dead in Lyari Baghdadi.

Meanwhile, three gang was accused were killed in encounter with police and Rangers when the law enforcement agencies launched a search operation in Baghdadi and Napier areas of Lyari. The deceased were identified as Majeed Steel, Akhtar and Kashif Mota.
