Altaf Hussain slams politicking amid army operation

He appealed the political parties to step forward and announce support and relief for the IDPs.

KARACHI (Dunya News) – Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) chief Altaf Hussain on Wednesday criticized politicking instead of supporting the army on the ongoing operation Zarb-e-Azb against terrorists. Hussain appealed the public to donate a day’s income to the Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) of North Waziristan, Dunya News reported.
Altaf Hussain said that army men are sacrificing their lives for the country and politicking is being done instead of supporting the army.
Addressing general workers’ session, MQM chief said that the army men are offering their lives to secure the country’s future but he is disappointed over politicking on the matter.
He appealed other political parties to announce relief and support for the IDPs. He said – while criticizing the government over handling of Tahirul Qadri’s arrival – that if he revealed the details of how Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) chief Dr Tahirul Qadri’s plane circulated in the air seven times, those sitting in Raiwind will start feeling dizzy.
