Death toll has reached 29 after another seven bodies recovered from cold storage.

KARACHI (Web Desk) – Bodies recovered from terror-hit Jinnah International Airport’s cold storage facility have been identified, Dunya News reported on Tuesday.

The victims have been identified as Sultan, Saifur Rehman, Farhanul Haq, Nabeel Ahmed, Faizan Ahmed, Inayatullah and Faridullah. The bodies have been handed over to the heirs.

The victims had taken refuge in the cold-storage facility to escape the attack where they were later trapped.

According to officials, the rescue workers broke down three walls of the cold-storage facility and retrieved the bodies which were badly burnt and were beyond recognition.

They were employees of a private cargo company, the official said.

The attack at Karachi s Jinnah International Airport began just before midnight Sunday and around dawn, the military said that all 10 attackers had been killed.

The banned Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) on Monday claimed responsibility for the attack in revenge for their late leader Hakimullah Mehsud, who was killed in a US drone strike in November.
