Bajaur attack: One soldier martyred, 14 terrorists killed
One soldier was martyred and 2 others were injured in a brazen early morning attack on a check post.
PESHAWAR (Dunya News/ Agencies) - At least one soldier embraced martyrdom and two others were injured when Afghan terrorists attacked Pakistani posts situated on Nao Top near Pak Afghan border in Bajaur Agency on early Saturday.
At least 14 militants were also killed as security forces backed by gunship helicopters effectively responded the attack.
Military officials said that at about 0515 hours, early in the morning, a large number of militants from across the border, attacked a group of Pakistani posts.
Pakistani troops responding to the attack repulsed it, meanwhile, gunship helicopters were also sent as reinforcement.
During the gun battle and strikes one soldier died and two were critically injured. Pakistan Army retaliated and as a result, 14 militants were killed.
