MQM has also scheduled to hold protest outside Pakistani high commission in London tomorrow.

LONDON (Web Desk) – The Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) has sent legal notice to Interior Ministry, NADRA chairman and Pakistani High Commission in London for not issuing National Identity Card for Overseas Pakistanis (NICOP) to Altaf Hussain.

The notice was served through senator barrister Farogh Naseem.

It stated that non-issuance of NICOP to MQM chief was an undemocratic, unconstitutional and illegal step by interior ministry.

MQM has also scheduled to hold protest outside Pakistani high commission in London tomorrow.

Earlier on Thursday, MQM held country wide demonstrations against delay in issuing giving NICOP to Altaf Hussain.
The demonstrations were held in different parts of the country outside NADRA offices including Karachi, Islamabad, Lahore, Hyderabad, Ghotki, Sukkur, Larkana, Nawabshah, Khairpur, Badin, Thatta, Multan, Sukkur and other cities.
Speaking at a protest demonstration outside NADRA office at Shahra-e-Faisal in Karachi, Deputy Convener of MQM’s Rabita Committee Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui said that Altaf Hussain applied for NICOP on April 4 but it has not been issued yet.

He said some people were afraid of the return of Altaf Hussain as he was the only hope of people to fight for their rights.
