Pakistani institutions have collapsed, the situation is worse than the way it appears, he said.

LAHORE (Dunya News) – Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf (PTI) Chief Imran Khan said on Sunday that the country cannot progress until it is ridded of weapons. He alleged that the rulers have been fighting someone else’s war in exchange of dollars, Dunya News reported.
Addressing students at a private university, he said that Pakistani institutions have collapsed, adding that the situation is worse than the way it appears.
He said that governments’ wrong decision disrupted peace in tribal areas. He also said that the society and overall country cannot progress if the education emergency is not imposed.
He said that 29 thousand schools will be operated in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa with support from philanthropists so that the province and country could progress.
Imran Khan said that there are people who are willing to donate and invest money for the welfare of the country, adding that the only needed thing is to win their trust.
Earlier, Imran Khan had said on Saturday that Pakistan’s democracy is a form of monarchy where friends and relatives are being awarded, Dunya News reported.
Imran Khan said in a Twitter post that Pakistan’s political elite never takes merit as criteria, adding that the considerable criteria instead is nepotism and to award personal relations and friendships.
“Democracy remains quasi-monarchical in nature in Pak with Parl seats & public offices handed down from father 2 children/siblings/relatives” he tweeted on Saturday.
“Merit is never a criteria with r trad political elite - instead nepotism reigns 2 preserve/further family power, kinship ties, friendships.”
Imran Khan also asked why Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif takes only Chief Minister Punjab Shahbaz Sharif on official foreign trips, adding that this creates a sense of deprivation among other provinces.
“Question is why the PM only take CM Punjab with him on official foreign visits? This only adds to sense of deprivation of other provinces.”
Imran Khan’s PTI emerged as second largest political party in terms of number of votes; yet the party didn’t clean-sweep as opposed to its expectations. Imran Khan has termed a number of factors including alleged rigging for the outcome of general elections that took place on May 11 last year.
