Pakistan moves firmly against ICC's 'Big 3'
West Indies, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka have aligned with Pakistan against ICC's 'monopolizing plan'.
(Dunya News): Pakistan has smashed the International Cricket Council’s alleged plan to monopolize cricket governance. Pakistan has taken a firm stance against assigning extraordinary powers to India, Australia and England in affairs of governing international cricket. Pakistan’s move is supported by Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and West Indies, Dunya News reported.
Indian cricket board BCCI has reportedly warned Bangladesh of the consequence including not participating at T20 world cup and Asia cup if Bangladesh doesn’t align with India on the matter.
Chairman Pakistan Cricket Board Zaka Ashraf vowed to stay firm against what’s being termed as ‘big 3’ alliance.
According to reports, India, England and Australia were to form a powerful alliance at ICC owing to which extraordinary powers were to be afforded to the alliance. The move was seen as monopolizing of cricket governance.
