Police arrest two more MQM's target killers

Six terrorists were killed during police and Rangers' crackdown in different areas.

KARACHI (Dunya News) - Two target killers were arrested from Maripur area on Wednesday.

According to DIG West, both killers belong to MQM while another target killer belonging to Lyari gang war was also arrested from Site area.

Rangers launched operation in Manghopir area in which on a tip-off where two terrorists were killed in exchange of fire.


The terrorists namely Rashidullah and Badshah Khayal belonged to a banned outfit while a big cache of weapons and hand grenades were also recovered from the accused.

Meanwhile, CID police foiled a bid to smuggle ammunition at Hab Road and killed four terrorists in encounter.

The accused wanted to smuggle ammunition to Karachi.

In another incident, two policemen including an SHO were injured in hand grenade attack during a search operation near Memar Complex in Sohrab Goth.

Police have detained 22 suspects and recovered a youth who was kidnapped from Sultanabad.

Special Investigation Unit arrested a key accused along with two accomplices who demanded extortion from a close relative of President of Pakistan. The accused belong to notorious Shahid Buckuk group.

Meanwhile, police defused a 3kg bomb recovered from Orangi Town while a terrorist of a banned outfit was also arrested during the operation.

According to Rangers spokesman, more than 50 suspects, including extortionists and target killers, were arrested during operation in different areas of the city including Korangi, New Karachi and Orangi Town.

The accused were later shifted to an investigation centre.
