Firing by Indian forces has caused panic among the local residents.

KOTLI (Web Desk) – A woman sustained injuries as a result of unprovoked firing by the Indian forces in Dheri area of Nakyal Sector along the Line of Control in Azad Jammu and Kashmir.

Pakistan Army retaliated in a befitting manner, silencing the Indian guns.

The picturesque Himalayan territory of Kashmir is divided between India and Pakistan by the UN-monitored LoC but is claimed in full by both countries.

The intermittent clashes threaten to jeopardize a planned meeting between the two countries’ prime ministers on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly in New York this month.

A ceasefire has been in force along the Line of Control since 2003 despite sporadic violations on both sides.
