KARACHI: Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) chief Altaf Hussain has said that the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) government in Sindh had started state terrorism against his party.
An emergent meeting of MQM Coordination Committee of Karachi and London, held simultaneously, shortly after several MQM workers were arrested in Karachi on Wednesday.
Talking to Coordination Committee members, Chief Altaf Hussain warned the PPP government in Sindh of consequences if it doesn’t stop atrocities against his party.
In a statement issued on Thursday Altaf Hussain alleged that the PPP government had provided a list to police for arrest of MQM leaders and elected representatives.
The names of members of National and Provincial Assembly, Dr Farooq Sattar, Dr Saghir Ahmad, Faisal Sabazwari, Ashfaq Mangi, Sajid Ahmad, Irtaza Farooqi and Adnan Ahmad are also included in the list.
