PTI gears up efforts to form govt in KP
PTI has initiated consultations for formation of government in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
PESHAWAR (Dunya News) - After reaching consensus with Jamaat-e-Islami for the formation of provincial government in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, the PTI leaders have speeded up efforts to gain the support of Qaumi Watan Party.
Leaders of both parties held meetings on Monday night; however, QWP would take the decision in the meeting of party’s parliamentary committee.
According to the sources, a delegation of the party leaders of KP would call on PTI chief Imran Khan and strategy relating to formation of provincial government would be finalised.
Addressing a press conference in Peshawar, Pervez Khattak said that talks were underway with the JI over the important matters and a coalition government would be formed in KP.
However, Professor Ibrahim said that Jamat-e-Islami would form the alliance with other parties on the basis of principles.
