FIA raids Faisalabad Dry Port, arrests Collector Customs
Collector and 6 Customs official held over release of imported vehicles without payment of duty.
FAISALABAD: An FIA team raided the Customs office at the Faisalabad Dry Port Sunday and arrested Collector of Customs and six other employees.
The team also took into custody 500 official files.
The raid was conducted on reports that the imported vehicles were being released from the dry port without the payment of Customs Duty.
According to reports Collector resisted the FIA team and tried to help the Customs officials escape from the scene.
