Quetta blast: Death toll rises to 91

Death toll in Quetta tragedy reached 91 as one more victim died while being shifted to Karachi.

 

The death toll in bomb blast at the Kirani Road in Quetta has now reached 91 as a woman, Gul Afshan, succumbed to her injuries while being shifted to Karachi from Quetta.

 

Earlier, 36 seriously wounded persons, including 8 children and 10 women, were airlifted to Karachi on a C130 plane from Quetta.

 

The injured persons were taken to Agha Khan Hospital and Liaquat National Hospital from Faisal Airbase on ambulances.

 

Member of MQM Coordination Committee and former provincial health minister Dr Saghir Ahmad reached the hospital and inquired about the health of the Quetta Blast victims.

 

A large number of people also gathered outside the hospital. Majlis Wahdat-ul-Muslimeen leader Allama Sadiq Raza Taqvi expressed the hope that the injured persons would get best possible treatment in Karachi.

 

A team of doctors at both the hospitals examined the patients after which they were shifted to different wards.
