Contempt of court case: MQM delegation rushes to SC
MQM delegation has reached the SC regarding hearing of contempt of court case against party chief.
ISLAMABAD: A delegtation of MQM leaders including Farooq Sattar, Raza Haroon and Baber Ghauri reached the Supreme Court on Monday, Dunya news reported.
A three-member bench of the Supreme Court headed by Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry was hearing contempt notice against MQM chief Altaf Hussain.
Altaf Hussain is facing court contempt as he had passed ‘derogatory remarks’ against the apex court during his fiery address from London.
On the other hand, Altaf Hussain moved a writ petition in the court while seeking exemption from appearance in the court.
