Bollywood superstar 'Mr Perfectionist' turns 51

MUMBAI (Web Desk) – Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan has turned 51 on Monday.

One of the most established Khans in the film industry, Aamir Khan is greatly acknowledged for his brilliant work.

The actor is known to be extremely particular when it comes to his films and is nicknamed Mr. Perfectionist as he dedicates time and effort to create the perfect look in all his films. He is the only Bollywood actor who has reinvented his look in each film that he has acted in.

Aamir made his first onscreen debut as a child at the age of eight in a highly popular song in the Nasir Hussain-directed musical film  Yaadon Ki Baaraat  (1973).

Eleven years later, he returned to acting as a young boy with Holi (1984) but his first taste of well earned success came through Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak (1988), co starring Juhi Chawla. He received his first National Film Award (Special Jury category) for his role in the film Raakh (1989).

The 1980s and 90s saw him give the audiences a line of entertainers - Dil Hai Ke Maanta Nahin, Jo Jeeta Wohi SIkandar, Hum Hain Raahi Pyaar Ke (for which he even wrote the screenplay), Andaaz Apna Apna, among the best.

Till present the actor has numerous hit movies like PK, Lagaan, Dil Chahta Hai, Rang De Basanti and many more to his credit and is now gearing up for his next flick ‘Dangal’.
