FIA arrested the agent who was supplying patients from abroad to the suspects involved in scandal

LAHORE: (Dunya News) – The characters involved in the kidney scandal are coming to the light one-by-one. Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) on Tuesday arrested the agent who was supplying foreign patients to the suspects, reported Dunya News.

According to details, Gujranwala FIA conducted a raid late last night and arrested a suspect named Abdul Majeed who had been supplying the suspects with patients from abroad. Abdul Majeed would first locate the patients and then bring them into contact with Dr Fawad and Dr Iltusmish.

Important documents and a list of patients were also seized from Abdul Majeed during the raid. Earlier, FIA had sealed a private laboratory in Lahore and seized all the record and computers.

A nurse from a government hospital in Pind Aaraiyaan was also arrested. Rs 600,000 had been transferred to the account of the nurse, named Safia. She was also working as an agent in this illegal transplantation business.

Sources told that FIA has not only received the information about other members of the group from the arrested suspects but eye-opening revelations about the donors and patients have also been made.
