Police allegedly killed two brothers breaking into house, relatives blocked Chakri Road in protest

RAWALPINDI: (Dunya News) – The RA Bazaar police on Thursday allegedly killed two brothers breaking into their house. The relatives of the slain brothers blocked Chakri Road in protest, reported Dunya News.

According to details, police raided the house located in Qauid-e-Azam Colony to arrest a suspected thief named Abdul Mannan in a bike-theft case. Police told that SHO Sajid Malik and Constable Shahzeb were injured in the firing by the suspect but the relatives of the dead say that police broke into the house to avenge a feud and gunned down both the brothers. They also claimed that two other brothers of the suspect have been taken away by the police to an unidentified place.

The injured brothers were shifted to DHQ Hospital where they couldn’t cope with the injuries and succumbed earlier today. The relatives claim that police have been threatening them to drop the case. They blocked Chakri Road and raised slogans against the police.

The protestors demanded that Supreme Court Chief Justice should take notice of the issue. Dunya News tried to contact the police to take the details of the case but none was ready to respond. One of those murdered was an employee at Atomic Energy while the other one at Agricultural Development Bank.
