Cheque bounce accused flees from LHC after bail rejection

LAHORE (Dunya News) – An accused in check bounce case escaped from Lahore High Court’s (LHC) premises after his bail was rejected.

The hearing of the case was conducted by Justice Anwarul Haq.

The defense lawyer informed the court that his client’s opponents had registered a false and baseless case pertaining to a bounced cheque worth Rs0.5 million in Dibalpur police station.

The plaintiff argued that the accused had issued cheques to them as a business transaction which was bounced later.

The court after hearing the stances rejected the bail application of the accused.

However; as soon as the accused came out of the court he fled away whereas the policemen assigned on duty played the role of silent spectators.
