Man sets woman on fire in Vehari
A man in Vehari sprinkled kerosene oil on a woman and allegedly set her alight on Tuesday.
VEHARI (Online): According to police, an accused named Shaukat allegedly poured kerosene oil on a woman, who is married to another man, and set her on fire in Union Council no.1 area of Vehari.
The local residents of the area transported the injured woman to Tehsil Hospital Vehari where doctors told that she has received third degree burn injuries and is in critical condition. Later, the victim was shifted to the Nishtar Hospital, Multan.
Police informed that the accused was arrested and admitted his crime. The sources further told that Shaukat allegedly had secret ties with the woman.
Further investigation of the incident is underway.
