Teenage bowling sensation Naseem Shah earned his Test cap to make debut at Gabba

BRISBANE (Dunya News) - Pakistan won the toss and elected to bat first against Australia in the first Test of the two match series in Brisbane on Thursday.

Teenage bowling sensation Naseem Shah earned his Test cap to make debut at Gabba. Former Pakistan great Waqar Younus gave Naseem Shah his Test cap.

Pakistan captain speaking after the toss said: "There s a bit of grass on the pitch but it looks a good pitch to bat on especially if you get through the new ball then there will be lots of runs in it. We re really excited to see Naseem play. It was very emotional this morning when he got his cap. We re going with the same line up that played in three day game against Australia A. It was difficult to leave out Mohammad Abbas but sometimes form can take over and we know he s very good and our No.1 bowler but at the moment these three pacers are doing the job and we picked them."

Teams:

Pakistan: Shan Masood, Azhar Ali (capt), Haris Sohail, Babar Azam, Asad Shafiq, ftikhar Ahmed, Mohammad Rizwan (wk), Yasir Shah, Shaheen Afridi, Imran Khan, Naseem Shah

Australia: David Warner, Joe Burns, Marnus Labuschagne, Steven Smith, Travis Head, Matthew Wade, Tim Paine (capt & wk), Pat Cummins, Mitchell Starc, Nathan Lyon, Josh Hazlewood.
