Training camp of Pakistan's test squad underway in Lahore

Pakistan is due to play a two match test series against Sri Lanka in UAE in October

LAHORE (Dunya News) - The training camp of Pakistan cricket team s preliminary test squad commenced on Tuesday at Lahore s Gaddafi Stadium for their preparation for a two match test series due to be played in United Arab Emirates (UAE), reported Dunya News. 

The 18 member perliminary squad started training to hone its skills for the two match test series starting on September 28*. The second test match that will begin on October 10 will be a Day/Night contest. Sri Lanka will play thier first test match under lights with a pink ball.

This will be Pakistan s first test series after the retirement of the legendary duo of Younis Khan and Misbah-ul-Haq. To beef up the batting line-up, Pakistan has including Usman Salahuddin, Haris Sohail and Sami Aslam in the squad. While to add more variety and options left-arm fast bowler Mir Hamza and all-rounder Bial Asif have been included in the squad. 

Mohammad Amir, who couldn t take part in the World XI series due to the birth of first child, was also part of the training camp.
