India increase lead to 244 runs against South Africa in third Test

NAGPUR, India, Nov 26, 2015 (AFP) - India were 108-5 in their second innings at tea on the second day of the third Test against South Africa in Nagpur on Thursday, taking their overall lead to 244 runs.

Leg-spinner Imran Tahir grabbed three wickets for eight runs in four overs after the hosts were cruising at 97-2.

South Africa, replying to India s first innings total of 215, were earlier shot out for 79 in 33.1 on a dusty pitch at the VCA stadium.

Off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin claimed five wickets and left-arm spinner Ravindra Jadeja took four.

India lead the four-match series 1-0 after winning the first Test in Mohali by 108 runs. The rain-hit second game in Bangalore was drawn.
