DHAKA (AFP) - South Africa captain Faf du Plessis won the toss and elected to bat first in the first Twenty20 international of two-match series against Bangladesh at the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium in Dhaka on Sunday.

South Africa left out Chris Morris, Eddie Leie and Beuran Hendricks from their 14-man squad.

Rubel Hossain, Rony Talukdar and Jubair Hossain were the players omitted for Bangladesh.

The second and final Twenty20 international of the series will be held at the same ground on Tuesday.
