LAHORE (Dunya News) – Lahore court on Thursday has approved the petition seeking to register a case against Chief Selector of Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Moin Khan on visiting casino.

Petitioner Shabbir Khan argued that the Chief Selector has defamed the name of Pakistan in an international community by visiting casino in New Zealand, therefore, strict action should be taken against him.

After hearing the initial arguments, the court has declared the petition admissible and issued notices to Station House Officer (SHO) Islampura to submit reply in a week.

As per details, Moin Khan will formally resign from his post today after reaching Pakistan.

Earlier, Chief Selector was seen at a Christchurch casino one day before Pakistan’s match with West Indies and was called back after the verification of his visit.

In a statement, Moin Khan showed his embarrassment on visiting casino inadvertently and asked for an apology for ruining country s name.

I have brought shame to the nation in the mega event of World Cup 2015, he added.

Pakistani cricketers and team management are under extreme pressure following two embarrassing consecutive defeats in a mega event of World Cup 2015.
