LAHORE (Dunya News) – The provincial government of Punjab on Tuesday has successfully formulated a plan to introduce “e-tendering” system for government contracts to ensure transparency in the state-run affairs and eliminate corruption.

In this regard, Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar approved the decision of e-tendering and said the system will be introduced soon in government departments.

He held a high-level meeting, and directed the concerned officials to implement the system on the highest priority.

The system will be implemented phase-wise, however, the government departments will be bound to grant and approve contracts under this system starting from the next fiscal year.
