Traders continue to suffer amid non-issuance of refund payments

FBR has failed to issue all the payable refunds of the claimants.

FAISALABAD (Dunya News) – Several applications were registered against Faisalabad regional tax office fir non-issuance of the refunds payments of industrialist.

According to details, the traders and industrialists are facing trouble while receiving their refunds because the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has failed to issue all the payable refunds of the claimants.

In Faisalabad, regional tax office has been delaying the refund payments of traders and industrialists, and claimants have registered complains to The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR).

Earlier, FBR had announced to release sales tax refunds of to Rs 8.741 billion to some 739 claimants from five export-oriented zero-rated sectors such as textiles, carpets, leather, sports goods and surgical instruments.

The Bureau had issued an advice to the State Bank of Pakistan for making the payment of refunds to the exporters against 4,117 refund payment orders issued up to November 8, 2018, an FBR press statement said.

However, FBR failed to refund all the refundable payments of traders and industrialists.
