ECC extends 0.4 pc withholding tax rate for non-filers until April 30
The committee has approved procurement of 7.05 million ton of wheat
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Economic Coordination Committee (ECC) has approved extension in date of reduced withholding tax of 0.4 percent by non-filers until April 30, Dunya News reported Tuesday.
A meeting of the committee was chaired by Federal Finance Minister Ishaq Dar in the federal capital.
One of the different decisions taken during the meeting was procurement of 7.05 million ton of wheat by all four provinces and PASSCO till August 31.
Ministry of Water and Power’s proposal to open second Letter of Credit for setting up two 1,000-1,200 Mega Watt (MW) projects at Balloki in district Kasur and Haveli Bahadur Shah in district Jhang.
The ECC approved allocation of 100 MMCFD gas to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa for use in power generation. It also approved extension in certain deadlines for upgradation and expansion of refinery projects.
