Galaxy S8 is set to be unveiled on March 29 after Note 7 debacle caused at least $5 billion loss to the giant.

Here are some of the notable features that might convince you to make a purchase:

  • Fastest mobile phone chipset to date; processor: Snapdragon 835

  • Faster battery charge; Snapdragon 835 supports QuickCharge 4.0 that could add 2.5 hours of more battery time with 20 percent faster charge.

Leak shows off typing speed:

  • DEX setup; Galaxy S8 is to boast a setup that would allow the mobile phone to function like a computer when it is docked.

  • Latest Android software: 7.1.1 Nougat

  • 5.8-inch display, 2960 x 1440 resolution with 18.5:9 aspect ratio (6.2-inch display for S8 Plus)

  • 4GB of RAM

  • 64GB of built-in storage

  • 12MP camera, featuring an f/1.7 aperture and 1.4µm pixel size

It should be noted here that Samsung has not let out a date for release of the new smartphone.

Evan Blass, a social media techie whose word is widely followed over Android leaks claimed earlier this year that the product will hit the stores on April 21 and will cost around €799 for S8 and an extra €100 for S8 Plus.

S8 Plus is to feature a larger screen compared to S8 while all other specifications would be the same.
