(Web Desk) – Xiaomi, a Chinese gadget manufacturer has tapped into Pakistan’s smart phone market after its home competitors, Oppo and Huawei have created a space in Pakistani industry several years after launch.

Daraz, an online marketplace is Xiaomi’s distribution partner in Pakistan. Rocket Internet’s e-commerce marketplace, Daraz has its presence in Bangladesh, Myanmar and Sri Lanka.

Reportedly, Xiaomi has initially launched only three smart phones in Pakistan and the manufacturer is tight-lipped over the variety of smart phones to be made available in Pakistan.

Redmi Note 4, Mi Max and Redmi 4A have been introduced in Pakistan.

It should be mentioned here that other Chinese makers, Huawei and Oppo have roped in celebrities both from the entertainment business as well as the athletic careers to endorse their products in Pakistan, adding to their revenues after years-long presence.

Market experts are of the opinion that unless Xiaomi introduces its phones in retail stores with direct consumer approach, it would be hard for the maker to sustain a tough smart phone market that Pakistan is.
