Brazilian footballer Ronaldinho to visit Pakistan this year

KARACHI (Dunya News) – Brazilian football legend and current club ambassador for FC Barcelona Ronaldinho has agreed to visit Pakistan this year, reported Dunya News on Sunday.

The former player will tour Karachi and play an exhibition match. Ronaldinho will give tips to young players also.

Brazilian legend was part of Brazil’s squad when they won 2002 Fédération Internationale de Football Association (FIFA) World Cup (WC). He played a key role in winning the title along with other legends like Ronaldo and Rivaldo.

Ronaldinho was awarded with FIFA World Player of the Year in 2004 and 2005.

His arrival will not only promote the game in Pakistan, but will also endorse Pakistan’s positive image and help in revival of international events.

The date of Ronaldinho’s visit will be announced later.
